Columbus to Shed 28.1 MW of Shovel-Ready PV Parks in Poland

13 May 2024  by renewablesnow.
Polish photovoltaics (PV) installer Columbus Energy SA (WSE:CLC) has sealed a preliminary agreement to unload a 28.1-MW portfolio of ready-to-build solar projects at home to a unit of domestic sector player GoldenPeaks Capital Group.

Nyx Renewable Energy Sp zoo will acquire 19 special purpose vehicles implementing 30 projects, the developer said on Thursday. All schemes included in the portfolio have grid-connection agreements in place.

The divestment will be carried out in several tranches after the final terms of the sale are set. Financial details about the initial arrangement were kept under wraps.

“We strive to ensure that these assets increase in value, so when there is a business offer that affects the development of the Group, we are happy to use it,” said Dawid Zielinski, president of Columbus Energy.

GoldenPeaks Capital focuses on the construction and operation of solar parks and is one of the largest PV park owners in Poland and Hungary. In February, it agreed to acquire 69 MWp of solar projects in Poland from developer R.Power SA Group.
