Japanese trading giant Mitsui & Co. will invest around 30 billion yen ($193 million) over two years to build a photovoltaic park in Texas.
The company announced this last week, explaining that it wanted to tap into the potential offered by a state that has so far mainly developed wind energy.
Mitsui aims to sell the power generated by the plant to the state grid and also directly to commercial and industrial businesses.
