China Huaneng’s new energy installed capacity has exceeded 180 million kilowatts, bringing the group’s total installed capacity to over 250 million kilowatts.
In a statement, China Huaneng said this came after the commissioning of the Huaneng Dashaba agricultural photovoltaic complementary power generation project in Baoshan, Yunnan which has a 150,000 kilowatt capacity.
The project can generate more than 253 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, which is equal to saving 78,100 tonnes of standard coal. It is also equivalent to reducing 210,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
This development brings the proportion of low-carbon and clean energy installed capacity of the company to a record high of 48.47%.
