Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) has signed a contract to supply wind turbines for the 429.3-MW Rolling Hills wind farm repowering project in the US state of Iowa.
The customer is Iowa-based power utility MidAmerican Energy Company, the wind turbine maker said Monday. The contract calls for the supply of SG 2.7-129 machines.
The Rolling Hills wind farm, with 443.9 MW of capacity, stretches across Adair, Adams and Cass counties. New wind turbines are slated for commissioning at the end of 2021.
