TEPCO Renewable Power, a renewable project developer from Japan, said it wants to expand its offshore wind portfolio.
“We aim to expand our offshore wind power business and believe that improving our ability to accurately assess the maintenance and management costs of offshore wind farms and forecast future cash flows will help us make ongoing development and investment decisions,” said TEPCO Renewable Power.
By integrating Shoreline Wind’s O&M simulation software into the design phase of its offshore wind projects, the company is supported with a digital framework for insights into costs, availability, and resource utilisation during the O&M campaigns.
“TEPCO Renewable Power concluded that Shoreline Wind’s industry-leading O&M simulation software is extremely effective in assessing operation costs of offshore wind farms, especially in securing resources such as personnel, vessels, and ports, and in building logistics systems,” according to the company.
TEPCO Renewable Power has stakes in several wind projects worldwide, including the TetraSpar Demonstrator floating offshore project in Norway, which the company owns together with Shell, RWE, and Stiesdal Offshore.
Recently, the project, which is located in Norway, reached a capacity factor of 63 per cent.
Regarding Shoreline Wind, the company entered into a contract with Umoe Mandal last year to provide its software for Mandal’s high-speed crew transfer vessels (CTVs) used in offshore wind operations.
