The agreed strategic partnership will result in the installation of 13 new BESS sites across 13 communities, in price areas SE3 and SE4, over the next 12 months. The facilities will range between 8 MW and 20 MW each.
The agreement will strengthen Ingrid’s capability to develop, own and optimise such systems and help it achieve its target of installing and managing 8 GW of capacity across Europe by 2030.
The pact with Locus is the second of this kind for Ingrid, which was founded in 2022. It follows a partnership on 14 large-scale batteries totalling 211 MW in Sweden.
Locus Energy, Locus Energy acquires and upgrades facilities in small-scale hydropower, wind power, CHP plants, electricity grids and batteries. The company, which has a presence in over 50 local communities throughout the Nordics, is a partnership between SEB Asset Management AB and Locus Infra AB.
