Sunkind will install and commission a 10.4 MW grid-interactive, ground-mounted solar project for agriculture feeder solarization in Nashik, Maharashtra. The project’s final ownership will be transferred to Mahagenco.
Sunkind has secured a 10.4 MW grid-interactive, ground-mounted solar EPC project from Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd (Mahagenco) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0) scheme.
MSKVY2.0 program envisages solarization of 30% agricultural feeders by 2025. That translates into contracting solar power capacity of 7 GW by December 2025.
Sunkind bagged the capacity through Mahagenco’s tender for 569 MW AC of distributed solar projects for agriculture feeder solarization.
Sunkind’s scope of work includes design, engineering, supply (except PV module), erection, testing and commissioning of the project in Satmane, Nashik.
“The project will follow the Capex model, which has emerged as the preferred business model for solar power installations in India. Under this arrangement, Sunkind, as the EPC contractor, will provide wide-ranging installation services for the entire solar power system, with the final ownership transferred to Mahagenco,” stated Sunkind.
