Azerbaijan Unveils Latest Data on Its Oil, Gas Output, and Export Volumes for Current Year

Oil-condensate production in Azerbaijan was 26.5 million tons, and the exports were 22.2 million tons, while the gas production and exports amounted to 45.8 bcm (bcm) and 22.9 bcm, respectively, in 11 months of this year.

Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy shows that 15.4 million tons of oil accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field, 3.8 million tons (condensate) - the Shah Deniz field, and 520,000 tons (condensate) - the Absheron field, and 6.8 million tons of oil production (including condensate) - fields of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

Besides, 19.2 million tons of exported oil-condensate fell on consortiums, and three million tons - SOCAR.

The oil refining from January through November 2024 totaled 5.5 million tons.

In November 2024, the daily average oil production was 80,771 tons, with 65,885 tons (486,000 barrels) of crude oil and 14,886 tons of condensate.

Out of the total gas production volume, 12.1 bcm accounted for the ACG field, 25.3 bcm - the Shah Deniz field, 1.4 bcm - the Absheron field, seven bcm - SOCAR.

The gas production increased by 1.8 bcm compared to the 11 months last year.

Moreover, the gas exports from January through November 2024 grew five percent year on year

Out of the total gas exports, 11.7 bcm fell on Europe, nine bcm - Türkiye, and 2.2 bcm - Georgia.

During 11 months of the current year, TANAP (Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline) supplied Türkiye with 5.1 bcm of gas.

Since the commissioning of the ACG and Shah Deniz fields up to December 1, 2024, a total of 648.4 million tons of oil (including gas condensate) and 462.8 bcm of gas have been produced. Of this, 600.1 million tons of oil and 228.5 bcm of gas were extracted from ACG, while approximately 48.3 million tons of condensate and 234.3 bcm of gas was produced from Shah Deniz.

As of December 1.6 million tons of oil and 167.6 bcm of gas from these fields had been exported.
