Coal India Ltd (CIL), a state-owned coal miner, has invited bids to provide turnkey EPC of a 1 GW solar plant that it is planning to develop in Rajasthan. The solar plant will be developed in Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd’s solar park in Pugal tehsil of Bikaner district.
The prospective contractor will be responsible for design, engineering, supply and procurement, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and five-year operation and maintenance of the solar plant. The scope includes supply of solar PV modules along with the balance of system. The modules must be sourced only from manufacturers listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) as published by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
The minimum bid capacity is 200 MW AC and the maximum proposed capacity is 1 GW AC.
