The Chairman of JSC Uzbekneftegaz presented a report on the work done in 2024 and outlined priority tasks for 2025.
In his words, in some fields have almost been depleted, while the efficiency of others remains low; the sector needs more attention from the state.
To address this problem, the company plans to introduce up-to-date technologies and begin geological exploration of 15 promising areas.
The area of exploration will be expanded to 6,500 square meters.
According to an official statement, competent authorities were tasked to compile a program of geology development and new fields exploration in 2025 with the involvement of major foreign companies and experts. Next year, the country plans to attract funds from international sources to finance production projects and geological exploration work.
Earlier, its was reported that Uzbekistan plans to disburse $43bln of investments in 2025.
