German renewables developer ABO Energy (ETR:AB9) on Monday said it has been successful with three solar projects totalling over 35 MW in the latest tender for ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) parks in its home country.
ABO Energy will receive tariffs for two projects in the southwestern state of Baden-Wurttemberg, namely the 16.4-MW Neckarbischofsheim and 7.3-MW Deißlingen. The third winner is a scheme in North Rhine-Westphalia state, called Kempen and with a capacity of 12 MW.
The construction of all three projects is due to be launched in the second half of this year.
Formerly known as ABO Wind, ABO Energy secured over 100 MW of projects in domestic tenders and brought online 90 MW of PV parks in Germany in 2024. A similar level of capacity additions is anticipated for this year, as well, said Amaya Hilpert, head of Solar Development Germany.
Germany's Federal Network Agency this week selected 242 projects totalling 2,150 MW in its latest tender for ground-mounted solar, which was heavily oversubscribed with 4,708 MW of received bids.
