The 714MW East Anglia One wind farm, located 43km offshore Suffolk, is among the world’s largest operational wind farms.
The CEO, Zoisa North-Bond, emphasized the importance of Britain’s favorable wind conditions and the role of offshore wind in advancing the country’s energy system. This latest investment aims to further enhance the sector’s growth, offering cleaner and more affordable energy to the nation. With previous stakes in prominent projects like Hornsea One, Lincs, Walney Extension, Butendiek, Borssele V and IV, Octopus Energy Generation has established itself as a key player in the European renewable energy landscape.
Additionally, Octopus Energy Generation has recently teamed up with Skyborn Renewables to participate in France’s upcoming offshore wind tender, with tenders expected to be announced in late 2025. The company is also fostering global expansion through strategic investments and innovative initiatives, such as its Fan Club program, which provides discounted electricity to customers during windy conditions.
