Simon Chouvellon, the business manager at Rossini Energy, highlighted the environmental benefits of using wood instead of steel. For a shade structure designed for 10 people, opting for wood reduces CO2 emissions by 10 tons—equivalent to over a year’s carbon footprint of an average French person. This choice supports the company’s focus on sustainable energy solutions. Rossini Energy manages all aspects of its operations internally, from design and production to installation and maintenance, without relying on subcontractors. Its clients include Weldom, a DIY retail chain, France Pare-Brise, and the town halls of Versailles and Wingles, as well as an exclusive deal with Kiloutou, a major equipment rental company in Europe.
The company operates from four locationsV locations—Angers, Lille, Saint-Étienne in France, and Milan in Italy—focusing solely on PV carports and EV charging stations. A company spokesperson noted: “We only do these two businesses, because the two products naturally go hand in hand.” Rossini Energy has also developed its own power management software, which optimizes charging station performance based on solar output from the carports, enhancing self-consumption and improving investment returns.
To date, Rossini Energy has installed 50 PV canopies and 2,500 EV charging stations across France, northern Italy, and Belgium. In 2024, these efforts generated €3.5 million ($3.8 million) in revenue, with a target of €4.5 million set for 2025. The company’s integrated approach and use of sustainable materials position it as a key player in the growing EV and renewable energy market.
