Located approximately 90 kilometers from Borkum Island, the Waterkant site neighbors a group of operational offshore wind farms. Once completed, the project is expected to connect to Germany’s national grid by 2028, providing clean electricity to around 400,000 households. This development underscores efforts to expand renewable energy capacity in the region, leveraging advanced technology to ensure efficient and dependable power generation.
The collaboration between Luxcara and TKF highlights a shared focus on sustainability and innovation. The inter-array cables, a vital component of the offshore wind farm, will facilitate the seamless transmission of energy, supporting the project’s goal of contributing to Europe’s clean energy landscape.
