Leapmotor’s B10 SUV Goes on Sale With Starting Price Under 100,000 Yuan

On April 10, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Leapmotor officially released the Leapmotor B10, the first model under its B Series, onto the market, offering five variants priced between 99,800 yuan and 129,800 yuan.

Co., Ltd., the overseas arm of China's Dongfeng Motor, has recently announced the grand opening of its commercial vehicle flagship store and Americas Regional Training Center in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This move marks a key milestone in the company's global expansion strategy in the Americas.

Guayaquil, a major economic hub in Ecuador, serves as a crucial gateway to the South Pacific region. It holds 60% of the country's commercial vehicle market, making it a vital logistics and distribution center for the Andes region. By establishing a state-of-the-art commercial vehicle sales and financing center in this strategic location, Dongfeng Motor aims to strengthen its foothold in the South American market.

The commercial vehicle division has set up a five-in-one facility combining vehicle sales, retail financing, immersive user experiences, spare parts supply, and technical training. This integrated approach is designed to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline operations. The company is also collaborating with local partners to build a "golden triangle" of brand value, channel networks, and intelligent services, providing end-to-end solutions for customers.

In addition to the commercial vehicle center, Dongfeng Motor has opened a specialized training center in the Americas. This center serves as a global talent hub, offering tiered training programs for technicians, service advisors, and management personnel. The center aims to produce around 8 skilled professionals annually, further strengthening the company's regional aftermarket service capabilities.

With both the flagship store and training center operational, Dongfeng Motor expects service response times to improve by 50%. Spare parts delivery cycles are also anticipated to be reduced to 48 hours, leading to higher customer satisfaction and improved service efficiency. The B10 adopts a cutting-edge design philosophy with a sleek, modern exterior. Its front fascia features a full-width LED light bar that visually aligns with the lower grille element, creating a cohesive, wider stance. The model is fitted with a LiDAR sensor and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 smart driving chip, enabling both highway and urban navigation-assisted driving.

As for the side profile, the B10 continues Leapmotor's family design language with a low-slung, aerodynamic silhouette and dynamic character lines, giving the SUV a sporty and expressive appearance. The vehicle measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.

Inside, the cabin is designed around the theme of "rhythmic geometry," characterized by soft rectangular elements that create a vibrant and relaxed ambiance. The B10 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295 chip dedicated to smart cockpit, delivering 30 TOPS of AI computing power, along with doubled CPU performance and triple the 3D rendering capability.

In terms of powertrain, the B10 is offered as a BEV (battery electric vehicle) model with two electric motor options delivering peak outputs of 132 kW and 160 kW, respectively. All variants come standard with a 56.2 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC-rated driving range of up to 510 kilometers.
