The International Small Hydropower Federation and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization officially published the international standard "Technical Guidelines for the Development of Small Hydropower Plants" (English version). The publication includes 26 sub-volume standards in five categories: "Terminology, Design, Mechanical and Electrical, Construction, and Management". This is the first time that China has jointly developed and issued international standards with the two international organizations.
The "Technical Guidelines for the Development of Small Hydropower Plants" is a technical guidance document for the planning, design, construction and management of small hydropower plants with installed capacity of 30MW and below, and is the world's first systematic and complete international standard for the small hydropower industry.
