Located in the German North Sea, the 200MW TWBII wind farm will comprise 32 Senvion 6.2M152 wind turbines installed at the site some 40 kilometres north of the island of Borkum.
Taillevent will load the turbine components at the Buss Terminal Eemshaven, Senvion's base for the project.
The turbine installation, initially scheduled to start mid-April, was postponed until summer after Senvion had filed for self-administration in April 2019.
By then, 15 of the 32 Senvion 6.2M152 wind turbines had already been delivered on time and transported to the base port in Eemshaven, Senvion said. The remaining 17 of the 32 wind turbines are expected to be delivered in autumn 2019.
Trianel Windpark Borkum II, the developer of the project, is owned by EWE AG with a share of 37.5 percent, and a joint venture of the power utility of the city of Zurich with 24.51 percent. The Stadtwerke-Kooperation Trianel together with 17 municipal utilities from Germany holds a share of 37.99 percent.
