Chinese solar module maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) on Thursday unveiled a 405-Wp N-type all-black solar panel, expecting its global roll-out “soon.”
With a conversion efficiency of 21.22%, the new panel is the company’s first product that was developed specifically for residential applications but is also suitable for commercial and industrial photovoltaic (PV) systems. The utility-scale version of the module will have a capacity of up to 480 Wp.
The Chinese firm said it is ready to start offering the new product for widespread deployment. Its production will help the manufacturer expand its foothold on the distributed generation (DG) market.
JinkoSolar, which in 2019 was at the top of the global ranking with 14.2 GW of shipped panels, this week said it expects “a big 2020” regardless of the coronavirus outbreak as its negative effects will be reduced to a minimum due to the company's broadly diversified global footprint, localised services teams, multiple hubs and flexible logistics.
