Danish turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S on Friday said it has booked separate orders to equip two wind farm projects totalling 79 MW in the UK and in China.
The contract in the UK is for nine V117-4.2 MW turbines for a 38-MW wind park in the southwestern part of Scotland. The company will start turbine deliveries in the second quarter of 2021, while the facility is expected to be put into operation in the following quarter.
In China, Vestas will supply 17 V120-2.2 MW turbines in 2.4 MW power optimised mode for a 41-MW project. The contract also includes a 5-year service agreement. The company will begin delivering turbines in the final quarter of 2020, with the facility to be commissioned by the end of the year.
