In the first four months of 2020, Chinese enterprises' non-financial direct investment in 53 countries along the One Belt And One Road route reached us $5.23 billion, up 13.4% year on year and accounting for 15.6% of the total investment in the same period, up 2.3 percentage points from the previous year.
In the first four months, Chinese domestic investors made non-financial direct investment in 3,084 overseas enterprises in 155 countries and regions, with a total investment of 235.08 billion yuan, up 0.7% year on year.
The structure of China's outbound investment continues to diversify.In the first four months, non-financial outward direct investment mainly went to leasing and business services, wholesale and retail, manufacturing and other fields, accounting for 37.4%, 17.4% and 13.8% respectively.Some sectors of foreign contracted projects performed well. The value of newly signed contracts for general construction reached 14.32 billion US dollars, up 44.8% year-on-year.The value of newly signed contracts for industrial construction reached 3.12 billion US dollars, up 30.5% year on year.The value of newly signed contracts for water conservancy construction was 2.4 billion US dollars, up 83.2% year on year.
